The faculty and staff of Saddlewood Elementary School are committed to providing our students with quality educational experiences, integrating curriculum content with real world experiences. All students are provided opportunities to achieve and reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, relevant curriculum, and relationships with staff.

2026-2027 Saddlewood Car Rider Procedures

Procedures for morning student drop off:

No Student Drop Off before 7:00 am.

Students arriving before 7:00 am must wait in their car until a staff member opens the car line gate.

Parents are not allowed to walk students to class.

Students should be prepared to depart the car when pulling into the drop-off area.

Pull all the way forward in line when dropping off your child.

Breakfast ends at 7:30 a.m.

At 7:35 am, the car line gate will be closed, and ALL students outside of the gate must be walked into the front office by the adult dropping them off.

Students arriving before 7:35 am will walk to the breezeway. Students eating breakfast will proceed to the cafeteria and students who do not need breakfast will sit in the designated area for their class. Parents and passengers must remain in their car.

When you drop your child off in the morning, be sure they know how they will go home in the afternoon. If there is a change in their PM transportation, the teacher must have a note signed by the parent stating the change. We will NOT accept the student’s statement, email, or Apptegy message.

Staff members are on duty to monitor students as they move about the campus.

Procedures for afternoon pick up:

Dismissal: 2:10 pm

Inside car line will be for students in PreK - 2nd grade, outside lane will be for students in 3rd – 5th grade. If you have a student in both lanes, please use the outside car line (3-5 lane).

Adults and passengers must remain in their car and go through the car line. Do not park and walk up. Due to safety concerns, students will not be released from the sidewalk.

Transportation changes must be made in writing to the child’s teacher. If there is a change in their PM transportation, the teacher must have a note signed by the parent stating the change. We will NOT accept the student’s statement, email, or Apptegy message.

Early check-outs will not be permitted after 1:45 pm.

Turn off cell phones and turn down music when moving through the car line. This is for student safety.

Pull all the way forward to the car in front of you and staff members will place students in your car.

Parents must have a hot pink 2026-2027 Saddlewood Elementary School pick up card displayed in their car window to pick up children in the car line.

Only those students listed on the hot pink card will be allowed to go with the driver.

Drivers not displaying the hot pink card will be instructed to pull forward and park in one of the two parking spots to the right of the carline for verification of authorization to pick up the student. Valid Photo ID required. Students will not be released to anyone, not on the emergency list.

If verification cannot be made, student(s) will not be allowed to go with the driver.

All cars will remain stopped until all students have been loaded. Do not move your vehicle until directed to do so by staff.

All students must be picked up by 2:40 pm.
